Do you have a favorite photo that you would like to see hanging over the fireplace? Let Marguerite (Margie) transform your photo into an original work of art. Shown on this page are several examples of her work.
The top pairing of the little girl “kissing” an alpaca is an example of what she can do. The picture on the left is the photo which was emailed to Margie. The picture on the right is of the painting which she did from the photo. This painting was donated and sold at auction during the 2007 AOBA National Conference. If you were there you may have seen her work. Pricing depends on size of the painting and the amount of detail involved. Email Margie a photo and she will be happy to give you a quote. See Picture Requirement page. Artist Statement Discovering art as a means to express my identity and calling developed into a desire to communicate God’s presence in the world. I try to achieve this through painting His creation and evidence of His working in and through people. Many times this results in a painting that communicates peace. I am drawn to painting alpacas because of the peace that is felt while interacting with them. I have been told that after experiencing a stressful day, to come home and just stand in the midst of alpacas is enough to let all the tension of the day just disappear. I want to communicate this in the paintings I do – that special interaction between animal and person. I believe that much of God’s creation brings to us a kind of peace that makes us want to take a moment and savor it. This is what I want the viewer of my paintings to experience.
